Rentr App is designed to give you a safe space to find or list rental properties across Zambia. This page explains the protections we put in place, the steps you can take to stay secure, and the actions we take when rules are broken. Each section expands on how we maintain a trustworthy environment.

User Verification

Rentr App conducts verification checks for landlords and agents to limit misleading activity. Agents may be asked to provide NRC copies and any available professional certifications. These documents are reviewed to confirm identity and reduce risks linked to false listings. Rentr App does not store these documents after verification. Verified agents help renters feel confident when searching for homes. Users can see verification indicators on profiles to help them decide who they want to work with.

Secure Payments

Rentr App supports mobile money payments through approved partners. Only the phone number needed to complete the payment your number is shared with the payment processor. Payment details remain in the system for a short period to help resolve disputes or confirm successful transactions. Rentr App does not access or store mobile money PINs or sensitive banking information.

Safe Listings

All listings must include accurate photos, property descriptions, and correct location details. Rentr App reviews listings that are flagged by users and removes those that appear misleading or suspicious. Our review team monitors the platform to keep property information accurate, up to date, and free from harmful content. Listings posted by verified agents or landlords are highlighted to help you identify trustworthy posts.

Location Safety

Rentr App uses mapping tools to help you find rentals near your area. Only location data required to show nearby results is used. Users can disable location services at any time, though doing so may affect search functions. We do not track user movements or store continuous location data. The goal is to provide helpful search accuracy without invading personal privacy.

Reporting and Support

You can report any listing or user that appears suspicious, abusive, or fraudulent. Rentr App reviews reports and takes action such as removing listings, warning users, or suspending accounts. You can also reach support for disputes, payment concerns, or unsafe interactions. Clear reporting channels help users highlight problems early so they can be dealt with quickly.

Account Protection

Rentr App offers secure login options and supports third-party authentication systems like Google and Facebook. Account information is protected with encrypted connections. Users are encouraged to keep their devices secured with lock screens and avoid sharing login information. If suspicious activity is detected on an account, support can help you recover access or secure your details.

User Responsibilities

Users are advised to inspect properties physically before making payments. Rentr App encourages renters to meet landlords or agents in visible public areas for first meetings. You should request identification from anyone claiming to represent a property. Users should avoid paying full rent or deposits before confirming the property’s availability, ownership, and condition.

Platform Actions

Rentr App may take action when rules are broken. This includes issuing warnings, temporarily suspending accounts, or permanently removing users who engage in fraud or harassment. Serious breaches may be reported to relevant authorities in Zambia. These actions help create a fair environment where everyone can interact safely.

Safety Tips

Meeting an agent or landlord in a public space before viewing a property is recommended. Visiting the actual home before paying helps you confirm details. You should keep payment confirmations for your records. Report suspicious activity as soon as you notice it so issues are handled quickly.
